We can’t talk about Coach shoulder bags without at least giving the best-selling Brooklyn bag a runner-up mention. It comes in a veering-toward-oversized version (the Brooklyn Shoulder Bag 39) and a mini version (the Brooklyn Shoulder Bag 23), but the 28 feels just right. It’s big enough to show off the bag’s shape without being distractingly large, and it looks good in every material (suede or leather) and color (mostly sophisticated neutrals). Something about the light tan suede feels extra ‘70s in the best way, though.

The first time I stepped into a Coach store was sometime in 2012 at the Woodbury Commons outlet, and I immediately fell in love with the first bag I laid eyes on, the Tabby. Since then, the brand has released hundreds of elevated Tabby silhouettes, like the shoulder bag 20, which comes with a removable top handle, adjustable crossbody strap, and a roomy interior with a slip zip pocket and two open spaces. While a non-embellished version is a trend-impervious investment piece, we’ll happily snap up this crystal-studded Tabby as a going-out bag. Its interior fabric lining is soft and smooth, so you don't have to worry about any items leaving scratch marks on the inside. On the back, you'll also find another slip pocket — perfect for quick lip liner and balm access.
