Emme Muñiz has basically been famous their whole life. As the children of Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, Muñiz and their brother Max are always somewhat in the public eye. But despite their parents' celebrity status, Muñiz's taste in footwear is surprisingly accessible and affordable!

Muñiz, who briefly appeared onstage during their mom's Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2020 singing a bit of Lopez's song “Let's Get Loud,” has begun accompanying their mom to more events and showing off more of their cool personal style, including chic suits often paired with classic sneakers. Over the years, we've found that Muñiz loves a timeless sneaker for both red-carpet-worthy events, such as Broadway premieres, as well as in their day-to-day life, and the best part? A few of their favorite styles are on sale during Prime Day!

We've been keeping a close eye on Muñiz's style and taking inspiration from how they incorporate trends like crop tops and denim jorts into their wardrobe. Sneakers are a major part of these looks, demonstrating the versatility of a classic pair of Vans or Converse. They pretty much go with anything and everything in your closet, and you can wear them everywhere without blisters or aching feet. What's better than that?

If you're in the mood to update your sneaker rotation and looking for something classic and not ultra trendy, let Muñiz's sneaker game inform your next shoe pick. Ahead, check out five sneaker styles that have gotten the Emme Muñiz seal of approval.

1. Vans Old Skool

Muñiz has a few pairs of Vans in their closet, including the Old Skool sneakers in Vans's instantly recognizable, black-and-white checkerboard pattern. This flat, low-cut sneaker made its debut in the late 1970s as a skater shoe and has never gone out of style since then; new generations continue to embrace the iconic silhouette, including Muñiz. If checkerboards aren’t your thing, you can snap them up in black, red, green, pink, orange, and many other colors. With a $75 price tag, the Old Skool is pretty affordable as is, but you can also get similar styles from Vans for under $55 during Prime Day.

2. Classic Black Converse

The old-school All-Star High Top Chuck Taylor sneaker truly never goes out of style. It's been a mainstay for basically everyone — kids, adults, rock stars, celebrities — since it was introduced way, way back in 1917 as a basketball shoe. Muñiz has worn Converse multiple times, including with long denim shorts, a slouchy sweatshirt, and socks back in 2023. (And had a mom-and-me sneaker moment with Jennifer Lopez, though she chose Nikes… and an Hèrmes bag.) They're one of the most iconic sneaker styles of all time, so you really can't go wrong. Plus, you can snag them up for just $40 during Prime Day.

3. All-White Converse High Tops

Chuck Taylor All Stars come in tons of colors, including red and purple, but Muñiz is a fan of simple black or classic white. They wore a white pair with another pair of long denim shorts and a gray sweatshirt, again paired with calf-high socks. This simple style is perfect for a chill, comfy day of errands, grabbing coffee, or shopping. These are also on sale, and you can also get some colorful laces to customize your pair just like Muñiz.

4. Vans Sk8-Hi

As mentioned above, Converse isn't the only “forever” style Muñiz likes; they've also been spotted in the Vans Sk8-Hi, another high-top style beloved by skateboarders and, well, pretty much everyone else! For a day out in New York City, Muñiz styled their black Sk8-Hi sneakers with light-wash jeans, a white T-shirt, and a brown jacket, completing the outfit with a crossbody bag and adding wired headphones. Sk8-His add a touch of California skater cool to any look, from a low-key jeans ‘fit like Muñiz’s to cutoff shorts to a sundress. This style in black retails for just $80 at Vans; however, the classic color is usually sold out, so don't hesitate if you see them available or dare to go for a more niche colorway. During Prime Day 2025, you can get an all-black and all-white version of the shoe for under $53. Bargain!

4. Onitsuka Tigers Mexico 66

If you love your Adidas Sambas but are looking for something a little less trendy and popular, try the Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66! They're an updated take on a ‘60s shoe with leather uppers and a slim, cushy sole. Available in an array of colors and styles, these are an equally iconic and beloved sneaker style that you'll wear anywhere and everywhere. (Kill Bill, anyone?)

The Mexico 66s that Muñiz wore are a niche colorway and thus have a slightly higher price point than a pair of Converse or Vans in the US, but Amazon sells a similar slip-on style at a lower price point, which is on sale for roughly $100.
