Teen Vogue takes the Big Easy! Last weekend, we traveled to New Orleans, Louisiana for Super Bowl LIX and got to experience all of the action firsthand. (No sleep, Uber, party, Lyft, another party, another party, tailgate, football, no sleep!)

While the Big Game, which pit the Philadelphia Eagles versus the Kansas City Chiefs, officially took place on Feb. 9, 2025, everyone knows that the lead-up to the game can be even more special… and this year's Super Bowl host city of New Orleans did not disappoint. Thanks to Verizon, Teen Vogue was on the ground and in the mix, immersed in some of the most exclusive parties, events, and thrills of Super Bowl 2025 weekend.

For the first time ever, Verizon presented a brand-new experiential space called House of Verizon stationed in the heart of downtown New Orleans at Fulton Alley. All weekend long, House of Verizon continuously transformed for a diverse handful of exclusive and accessible activations, from giveaways to fashion showcases to live cooking demos to parties with special performers — and did we mention there was also a built-in bowling alley?

With a strong presence at Super Bowl LIX and seemingly non-stop programming, House of Verizon masterfully fused the worlds of sports, food, fashion, culture, and entertainment; all while providing customers unique access to their events. As soon as we touched down in NOLA, we were on the go. Below, relive Super Bowl weekend and check out excitement you might have missed.

Come Here, “RHUDEBOY,” Boy

On Friday, Feb. 7, House of Verizon kicked Super Bowl weekend off with fashion designer Rhuigi Villaseñor's exclusive RHUDE preview presentation of Villaseñor's fall-winter 2025 line. The event, called “RHUDEBOY” and curated by Villaseñor himself, was a star-studded showcase that seemed to tap inspiration from elite athletes' affinities for luxury streetwear. Backed by OG Lil Wayne bars (in homage to the rapper's hometown of Louisiana), models on the V-shaped runway walked past front-row faces like Sexyy Red, Joe Burrow, girl group FLO, Justin Jefferson, Reggie Bush, and more.

Model Julez Smith — New Orleans native, Solange's son, and Teen Vogue's latest MOMENT cover star — closed the show. Directly after, House of Verizon threw their official late-night after-party with sounds spun by star DJ-producer Chase B. We doubled up on parties that evening, stopping by Shaq's Fun House at Mardi Gras World (which was also sponsored by Verizon) — a Ludacris set, a ferris wheel, and all the carnival fare you could imagine gleefully fed our inner children into the wee hours of the morning.

Kristin Juszczyk's Sports Styling Secrets

On Saturday, Feb. 8, WAG and entrepreneur-slash-fashion-designer Kristin Juszczyk officially unveiled Off Season, her collection of chic sports apparel created in collaboration with the NFL Players Association and in partnership with Good American co-founder Emma Grede. The DIY queen spoke to Teen Vogue in the House of Verizon Glam Suite, spilling her special secrets on and favorite hacks to fashionably style sports jerseys and apparel.

“First, accessorize always. That's my biggest tip," Juszczyk told us. “Doesn't matter what you're wearing; you throw on earrings, necklaces, it always makes you feel more elevated.” I also got the opportunity to be styled by Juszczyk, who decided to lean into the already chic-casual vibe of my outfit by pairing my silver kitten heels with a Travis Kelce #87 Chiefs puffer vest for a pop of color with that iconic Kansas City red. (For the record, I'm an Eagles girl. Go Birds!) Read more of Juszczyk's tips on creating the perfect game day outfit and see photos of our styling session here.

Tailgate With Tini

Shortly after Kristin Juszczyk's special showcase of her collection on Feb. 8, viral chef and TikTok sensation Tineke Younger — affectionately known on the interwebs as Tini — conducted an exclusive live cooking demo for Verizon customers and fans. Tini made Super Bowl and NOLA-inspired bites, perfect for a tailgate brunch: Philly cheesesteak egg rolls, BBQ wings, and Bananas Foster french toast. (The egg rolls were my favorite.)

After taking pictures with nearly every fan, Tini headed over to the Glam Suite to talk to Teen Vogue about her favorite easy recipes for college students on a budget, her favorite meals to make for her husband Antoine, and her favorite Super Bowl party dishes to make that will win over any crowd.

The Big Speakeasy, Starring Doechii, T-Pain, and More

The party never stops at House of Verizon. When night fell on Feb. 8, the event space turned into a nightclub with back-to-back performances by some of the most captivating entertainers in the music industry. The Big Speakeasy, presented in partnership with TAO, featured headlining performances by Grammy-winning rapper Doechii and Hip-Hop icons T-Pain and Jermaine Dupri.

Power producer Jermaine Dupri was the first performer of the evening and brought out Louisiana legend Juvenile for a surprise appearance; Doechii set the stage ablaze with performances of her most beloved records like “Persuasive,” “Denial Is a River,” “Catfish,” and “Nissan Altima"; and T-Pain delivered a stacked set of his biggest hits: “Buy U A Drank,” “Bartender,” “Can't Believe It,” the list goes on and on.

The surprises didn't stop with Juvie, though — Janelle Monáe performed a surprise set, treating the crowd to live renditions of “We Are Young,” “Q.U.E.E.N.,” “Electric Lady,” and “Float.” And throughout the party, we spotted familiar faces from across the sports and entertainment industries like Shaquille O’Neal, Lainey Wilson, Olivia Culpo, Shaboozey, Gabrielle Union, Ice Spice, Quavo, Jon Hamm, Anthony Mackie, and many, many more.

Get Your Head In the Game (Day)

Powered by sugar-free Red Bull, the Eagles spirit, and sheer will, we somehow made it to Sunday, Feb. 9 ready to cheer on what we already knew would be a fierce game. Verizon hosted our group at the official Super Bowl LIX Tailgate event, where we got to see Post Malone perform in all his tattooed cowboy glory and dish on New Orleans staples like beignets, Po' boys, and pralines while we waited for the Caesars Superdome to welcome us inside.

Our seats were perfect, especially for those irregular football watchers (me!) who needed a complete view of the field to comprehend the rules of the game. (We listen and we don't judge.) Getting to witness Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl halftime show performance, aka Black history, in real time was an unforgettable experience, and watching the Eagles defeat the Chiefs (especially in front of a guest of ‘honor’) instantly became a core memory that I will cherish forever. Jalen Hurts may have been named the Super Bowl MVP, but the MVP of Super Bowl 2025 weekend was absolutely House of Verizon.
