If there are two things you should know about KATSEYE is that 1) they make bops, and 2) they have one of the best online presences of any girl group out there. Case in point: Their latest social video, where they recreate the infamous “Jingle Bell Rock” choreography scene from the 2004 hit movie Mean Girls because 'tis the season, after all.
At iHeartRadio KISS108's Jingle Ball 2024 presented By Capital One at Boston's TD Garden on December 15, 2024, the members of KATSEYE served as openers during the event. (They previously also performed the event at the Dickies Arena on December 3, 2024, in Fort Worth, Texas.)
To commemorate their time performing at the Jingle Balls, KATSEYE took to their TikTok and Instagram accounts to post their rendition of the “Jingle Bell Rock” choreo performed by Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan) and The Plastics (Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried, and Lacey Chabert) at the school's winter talent show clad in Santa-inspired mini skirts and knee-high boots. In case you need a refresher, here's the original dance:
Lara Raj, Sophia Laforteza, Manon Bannerman, Megan Skiendiel, Daniela Avanzini, and Yoonchae Jeong recreated the scene wearing their new Jingle Ball 'fits, which had a very similar vibe to the original. The girls wore coordinating little red dresses — a holiday staple — with sparkle, lace, and lots of fluffiness, paired with thigh-high black boots, as they recreated the first half of the choreo — essentially everything up until the stereo malfunction and acapella adlib. Watch their take on the viral dance, complete with the iconic (or should we say eyeconic?) thigh slaps, below:

“Thank you to all the EYEKONS who came to see us tonight, we love you!!” KATSEYE wrote in their caption. Though the “Jingle Bell Rock” rendition was a little treat for fans online, the group's actual setlist at Jingle Ball looked a little different. The girls performed “Debut,” “My Way,” “Tonight I Might," and “Touch” during the event — all songs off their first EP, SIS (Soft Is Strong).
With the final Jingle Ball performance, KATSEYE's calendar is now wide open for the rest of 2024, so the girls might take a breather before coming back stronger in 2025, and we will be keeping an eye out for future projects — and social content, of course.
