Pack your bags and get ready for another summer on Cousins Beach, because The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 is here — and bringing a few new faces along for its final trip. (Warning: Some spoilers ahead for the first two episodes.)
In the final chapter of Belly's story, we find our heroine once again caught between brothers Conrad and Jeremiah Fisher. Only now, the stakes are a lot higher; they're all in their twenties, finishing up college and starting their careers, and decisions carry a lot more weight — especially when it comes to relationships. There's a four-year time jump between seasons two and three, so those relationships have evolved and deepened since we left the crew at the end of season 2.
Season 3 kicked off on Prime Video on July 16 with two episodes, and episodes will drop every Wednesday until the finale on September 17. Ahead, refresh your knowledge of the main cast of The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 and get to know the new characters we'll be learning more about throughout the season. Spoilers ahead!
Lola Tung as Belly Conklin
Isabel “Belly” Conklin is our main character, played by Lola Tung. She, her mom Laurel, and her brother Steven spend every summer at Cousins Beach in the beautiful home owned by Laurel's best friend Susannah, who tragically dies of cancer in season 2.
When we left Belly in season 2, she was getting ready to go to college and start a new chapter with Jeremiah after ending things with Conrad. Season 3 opens with Belly and Jeremiah happy and in love at Finch, where Belly is finishing up her junior year and Jeremiah is about to graduate, but who knows how long that will last? In the premiere episode, Belly finds out that she may be able to study abroad in Paris and is grappling with the decision, as well as dealing with major turmoil with Jeremiah.
Belly is Lola Tung's first major role. She also read the audiobooks for the original book series by Jenny Han and has done some theater work, including in Hadestown on Broadway.
Gavin Casalegno as Jeremiah Fisher
The younger Fisher brother has loved Belly his whole life and is outgoing and charming. The two got together at the end of season 2, and when the new season opens, they're having a lot of fun together, though Jeremiah will be moving to Boston after he's done with college. “He's the one, my one,” Belly says of Jeremiah in the first episode. The two are excited for the summer together, until Belly finds out that Jeremiah cheated on her when they were briefly broken up. Jeremiah also discovers he won't be able to graduate as planned, since he doesn't have adequate credits.
Gavin Casalegno, who plays Jeremiah, has been acting since he was a child and mostly appeared on TV shows, including a role on The Vampire Diaries in 2015.
Christopher Briney as Conrad Fisher
The elder Fisher brother is embarking on his career as a doctor and is super busy at work, as well as hiding his lingering feelings for Belly. He's also still dealing with his complicated feelings about home, Cousins Beach, and his brother, as we see him talking out scenarios in therapy. Conrad is pursuing a medical internship, though this interferes with a planned memorial for his mom, which may also add to the tension between him and Jeremiah.
Christopher Briney notably appeared as Aaron Samuels in the musical adaptation of Mean Girls.
Sean Kaufman as Steven Conklin
Belly's elder brother Steven and her best friend Taylor have been hooking up on the sly, despite the fact that Taylor is dating frat boy Davis and Steven has a girlfriend named Mia. Steven graduated from Princeton and works as a “glorified intern” at a company called Breaker — headed up by Mr. Fisher — though he is doing a great job and earning praise for his work. “He's… working with this new character, Denise, and I'm really excited for you guys to see that relationship form,” Kaufman explained. In episode 2, we also see Steven go through a “life-altering” event and figure out what he really wants.
Sean Kaufman went to New York's famous LaGuardia High School and had small roles on TV shows like Law & Order: Special Victims Unit before landing the role of Steven.
Rain Spencer as Taylor Jewel
Taylor is Belly's longtime BFF and the two are at Finch College together. She's had a longtime crush on Steven and the two are secretly hooking up in an on-again, off-again relationship. Taylor dreams of moving to New York and working in PR; in episode 1, we learn she and Steven reconnected while they were both interning in New York.
Actor Rain Spencer has appeared in a few smaller projects, including the movie Good Girl Jane, where she won a Tribeca Film Festival award for Best Performance in a U.S. Narrative Feature.
Jackie Chung as Laurel Park
Laurel is Belly and Steven's mom and is the reason the group gets together at Cousins Beach; she and the Fisher boys' mom, Susannah, were best friends who met in college. In the season three premiere, she gives Belly a photo of herself and Susannah to hang on her dorm wall. She's a loving, supportive mother to Belly and Steven, but also plays that role for the Fishers now that Susannah has passed.
Jackie Chung, who plays Laurel, appeared on Grey's Anatomy and a few smaller projects before joining the The Summer I Turned Pretty cast in 2022.
And that brings us to the new cast in TSITP season 3…
Zoé de Grand Maison as Agnes
Agnes is a new face in season three; she and Conrad are shown getting close during their medical school program and appear to be good friends, if not something more. In episode 1, we learn that she wanted a relationship at one point, but he declined; now, they banter and roast each other easily, and in episode 2 Agnes gives out some pretty solid advice about how Conrad deals with his emotions.
She's played by Zoé De Grand Maison, who was cast as a recurring character. De Grand Maison has also acted in Riverdale (as Evelyn Evernever), Orphan Black, and more.
Isabella Briggs as Denise
Denise is one of Steven's coworkers at Breaker, and technically his boss (or at least someone he reports to). The two have a playful, witty banter that potentially hints at something more between them.
Isabella Briggs has appeared in a handful of projects, including the TV adaptation of the movie Fatal Attraction.
Sofia Bryant as Anika
Anika, a new character this season, is one of Belly's good friends from college, as well as her roommate. In episode 2, she's there for Belly after Jeremiah's betrayal, offering advice and good best friend energy.
Sofia Bryant, who plays Anika, has acted on various TV shows, including I Am Not Okay With This, The Good Wife and Blue Bloods.
Lily Donoghue as Lacie Barone
Another new face is Lacie, a college student at Finch who hooked up with Jeremiah. Belly finds out about this at the end of season three, episode one, leading to a confrontation and a decision that will change everything.
Lacie is a minor recurring character, though she may reappear throughout the final season. Lily Donoghue played Lisa in Daisy Jones & the Six.
Tanner Zagarino as Redbird
Redbird is one of Jeremiah's good friends from college and makes a few brief appearances in the first episodes, though he'll likely pop up again throughout the season. He seems to be a fun-loving, easygoing frat boy. He's played by Tanner Zagarino, who has been in Shrinking and 9-1-1: Lone Star.
Kristen Connolly as Lucinda Jewel
Actor Kristen Connolly was cast as Lucinda, Taylor's mom, and makes her first appearance helping Taylor move into her dorm freshman year, and then later via a FaceTime chat with her daughter. The two appear to have a close relationship and are very open about their relationships. Connolly is best known for her role in the 2011 horror sendup The Cabin in the Woods.
