The most unusual sex-related advice I've gotten?

The thing about pineapple juice,

like I guess it couldn't hurt.

[light music]

[Narrator 1] NEXPLANON is a prescription birth control

for the prevention of pregnancy in women.

I don't want to have to set a reminder

to myself to take pills.

I want something effective.

I chose NEXPLANON because I was looking

for something specific and NEXPLANON

checked all those boxes for me.

NEXPLANON is a non-daily birth control

that goes in your arm.

I was able to set up a consultation with my gynecologist

and within the next few days, I had the implant.

The pill, IUD, uh.

[buzzer buzzes]

Umm...just methods..uhh condoms...uhh.

[buzzer buzzes]

Pull out method, condoms,

implant,

IUD, birth control pills,

both combo and hormonal,

Uhm the dam.

[bell dings]

[hands clap]

[Narrator 2] Don't use NEXPLANON if you're pregnant

or may be pregnant, have or had blood clots

or certain cancers, have liver disease,

liver tumor or unexplained vaginal bleeding.

Once the implant is placed,

you and your doctor should feel for it.

If at any time you can't feel the implant,

contact your doctor right away

and use a non-hormonal birth control method,

such as condoms.

Removal of the implant may be difficult

or impossible if it isn't where it should be.

While uncommon, ectopic pregnancy (pregnancy that occurs outside the womb) can occur,

which can cause serious internal bleeding,

infertility and even death.

You are likely to experience changes to your period.

Ovarian cyst may occur and usually disappear.

NEXPLANON may raise the chance of serious blood clots,

which can cause heart attacks, stroke or death,

especially if you smoke or have other risk factors.

NEXPLANON doesn't protect against HIV or STDs.

[Narrator 1] Talk to your doctor about NEXPLANON.
